Chicken Pot Pie

Made with Wantsumeaux White Gravy

  • 1 package Wantsumeaux White Gravy mix
  • 1 ½ + ½ cup water
  • 1-2 Tbsp oil
  • 2 cups cooked chicken (rotisserie, grilled, etc.)
  • 1 rib celery, diced
  • 1 large onion, diced
  • 2 carrots, disked
  • ½ – 2/3 cups each frozen peas and corn
  • 4 Baby Bella mushrooms, sliced
  • 2 garlic cloves, minced
  • 1 can Crescent Dough Sheets, cut in strips *
  • Salt and pepper, optional
  • WG Seasoning, optional

Make Wantsumeaux White Gravy per instructions using the 1 ½ + ½ cup water, set aside.

Put oil in pan and add the onion, celery, carrots and garlic and cook just until onion starts turning translucent. Add chicken, peas, corn, mushrooms and salt/pepper or WG seasoning if desired, and pout gravy over mixture, stirring until well incorporated. Pour into 9” round glass baking dish. Using crescent dough strips, make lattice over mixture making sure you have enough dough to cover edges. Place in 375 degree oven for 25-30 minutes or until dough is browned. ENJOY!

*Use gluten free dough or gluten free biscuits to make a gluten free dish

Yields: 6-8 servings
